We Have Placement

We received our placement details - we will be providing support for El PANI (Patronato Nacional de la Infancia) which is an organization to protect kids in Costa Rica. The home is a transition for kids 3 months to 12 years who have been separated from their parents due to a wide range of not-so-nice things.

Jakob and Luke are very excited but not sure they understand what we really will be doing - might be true with Stine and me too!

The CCS document just says volunteer duties are to:
- Share and give love and personalized attention to the kids (I think we can handle that)
- Plan recreational activities and games (pretty sure a game of soccer will be involved)
- Plan arts and crafts (Stine will do great with this...I will probably be the comedy relief)

Less then a week to go...more to come about our preparations.

Wow... working with 30 kids in a private orphanage, it really puts 'fostering kittens' into perspective! What an eye opener.
