More about our accommodations

I shared a little about our home away from home but need to explain a bit more:

There are 2 buildings for the volunteers, the building on the left is the summer overflow - this is where we live.  You might notice it is gated. Most of the homes have gates, it is a "status" thing along with keeping the bad people out.

Here's the inside courtyard of the building on the right:

It's an open courtyard and there are rooms you can see to the right.  Most people live here about 30.  You might also see there are handprints on the wall (not sure why this picture is so blurry?!) There is a tradition of putting your handprint up at the end of your stay.

Our "summer house" is a little smaller but setup great for us.  There is a bathroom and 2 showers right outside our room - and it is quiet and more private then the dorm setting at the other house.  There is also another family staying with us - Karl and Darcy and their 4 girls. They also have their own bathroom and showers which they were also happy about - uh, especially with 4 girls!  2 girls are Jakob and Luke's ages and they are really nice kids...which helps to bring it up a few notches for our little stinkers ;-)
